Season ticket to Kew Gardens, June 2005
Shortly after buying my Vespa, far and away one of the best investments I've ever made, I bought a season ticket to Kew Gardens. I spent many summer afternoons enjoying the exquisite botanical gardens whilst 747s and Airbus 320s roared overhead. This is one of the larger plants at the Princess of Wales Conservatory.

Autumn in Massachusetts
This tree captured the essence of change and transition during my trip to Boston in 2004, when Anna was in hospital. Back in England, a young couple had agreed to buy Pebbleford House.

Chateau Fontainbleau, France. March 2005
I spent a long weekend here over the Easter break last year, after a business trip at La Defense in Paris.

Hatfield House in Hertfordshire, Summer 2005
I've been house-hunting lately... as a former residence of Queen Elizabeth I and still owned by her direct descendants, I'm quite keen on this one. I can't resist a bit of history.
In reality, I hired a car and drove to Hertfordshire with Mansour, the barrister upstairs, to meet Nicole for a day out in the countryside.

Neckarsulm, Germany. March 2006
I hired a car and arrived the night before for a day of training at a German systems integrator. It's hard not to notice the sprawling facilities and strong presence that Audi maintains in Neckarsulm, a small city north of Stuttgart. The city centre is less industrial than the surrounding urban landscape.

Pacific coast, south of San Francisco, January 2005
I hired a car and drove south along the Pacific Coast Highway towards Santa Cruz, and stopped to take a walk along this beach. There was a very brisk and invigorating January wind!

Land of Crop Circles, Monoliths and White Horses, February 2006
I hired a car and drove with my colleague JD to Wiltshire, famous for Stone Henge, crop circles and giant white horses carved into the chalk hills. After our long and scenic drive, I left JD at the Marsh Farm Hotel to explore Wiltshire on foot. Here is a snap of a cemetary along my journey.

Zurich, Switzerland. March 2006
From a taxi between the airport and Sofitel. After two nights in Zurich, I took the train to Stuttgart, Germany, from where my onward DACH tour continued via car. The snow was beautiful, if inconvenient.

Another view from the Belgacom Tower in Brussels, at Brussels Nord station.

Kista Science Tower in Stockholm
Our office is on the 13th floor. This is where Mikael, Per, Thomas and Guillaume work (and play, too!).

London Eye October 2006.jpg
From one of many walks with Dean, this particular one from Waterloo along the South Bank to Bermondsey, to investigate my new neighbourhood.

WTC Towers in Brussels, October 2006
From the Belgacom Tower in Brussels, where I was doing some training.
